Jesus Spoken Hear

This will be the 7th year for the Homeless Indigent Memorial.

2016 went by with the loss of some of the special need folks.

They effect many in every day life.

With a roof over his head Joe worked hard to overcome his disabilities

that kept him in a wheelchair. He would save his money and send a

donation to the ministry for socks, food packs, blankets.

This winter with 4 stays in the hospital Joe went to Heaven.

It was an honor to talk to him and hear his worries for those without.

He would want to pay for fuel and the lunch when I was able to visit.

His prayer was to share Jesus love with all he crossed trail with.

While on the streets for the better part of 30 years Paul found it hard to trust.

His battle within kept him from friendships and safe housing.

I met Paul in front of the mission and in time he started to come to the

chapel services. There were times he would come to church with other folks

in the church van and to revival services and dinner functions.

He lived in a hutch made of pallets and big truck tires.

When the city tossed out his things and he lost all of his Med's

he would go back and feed his wild cat and give it water.

For the next 2 years he wondered from bush to bush with a tarp for a roof.

Late this year after a stay in a nursing home he came to this ministers hometown.

When he called, I went to help him.  Paul asked for shelter.

With his health going down and a few stays in the hospital he bottomed out.

With a few calls to his family he went back to his home state.

I want to report that Paul was taking his mental health Med's ,

and asked his brothers for a Bible and to start a study with them.

Most folks don't get to be with loved ones like Paul has.

He was treating his infections and  heart issues when he went to eternal sleep.

This year the rains claimed 2 who slept under the bridge, they built a hutch

with plywood floor that fit under the concrete with a ladder to access it.

When the flood water came up they had no way out and soon overcome

they were washed away no names or words to be recovered.

There were many socks , blankets , plastic tarps, flash lights, Bibles placed

in the hands after prayers and hugs. A meal and some money when needed.

Tonight I want to share a song that allows some thought, and prayer.

I have journeyed
Through the long, dark night
Out on the open sea

By faith alone
Sight unknown
And yet His eyes were watching me

The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
The anchor holds
Though the sails are torn

I have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm

I've had visions
I've had dreams
I've even held them in my hand

But I never knew
They would slip right through
Like they were only grains of sand

The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
The anchor holds

Though the sails are torn

I have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm

I have been young
But I am older now
And there has been beauty
That these eyes have seen

But it was in the night
Through the storms of my life
Oh, that's where God proved
His love to me

The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
The anchor holds
Though the sails are torn

I have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds

In spite of the storm

Thank you for allowing this ministry  to share the Love of Jesus.

Someone out there is in need and God can send you.
